Relational Conundrum

I don't understand relationships. I really do not.

Now, for clarification purposes, I am referring to a dating relationship (or a courting relationship). Seriously, how? Someone needs to explain to me. What do you do? What sorts of things do a couples do together? I would imagine going to the movies would get boring pretty quick. As would just... going out to dinner every time you got together.

So what's up? Do you just hang out? Talk about nothing and everything(another problem unto itself)? Or are "things" required? Must you be going out and doing things for the beginning parts of the relationship? Or even the latter parts? What sorts of things? I would imagine that they would correlate with both persons interests.

It's interesting that I ask this question here, as my reader base, isn't really the dating type. General statement on the people that I know who read this blog of course. I really don't know a whole lot about you random creepy internets folk.

However, if you do miraculously have some sort of insight into the workings of a relationship of this caliber, let me know.

Please, I may need this information one day.

P.S. I doubt it. ;/

P.P.S. Seriously

haha classic Alex!
Matt, I think generally couples just like to hang out, and do whatever they do anyway. Sure, I've never dated, but there are lots of people around to observe :)
My brother and his girlfriend go on hikes, spend time searching random things on youtube, listen to music they both like, and go shopping for camping stuff, cause they're both into that.
I think just spending time together is fun for them, they don't really have to be doing anything planned.

Looking on my dating history, not much I can be proud of. But I can say, for myself and a few of my friends, we agree that just relaxing, being yourselves, and doing things you both enjoy is enough. No need for fancy stuff.

I personally hate going to the movies for a date. 1) You arn't really doing anything to get to know eachother... 2) if you are bonding, people will be pissed at you for talking, and you wont really be watching the movie will you? Suppose once in a while it's ok... but only we were to do something else also.

Dinners are nice... as long as you plan to do something else... and I hate fancy dinners. Id rather go to a fast food place and chill.
