Transhumanism? It is a link. Tell me what you think.
I agree with most of the sentiments provided by the transhuman community. Except designer babies. No designer babies. If you want that much control go play The Sims or something.
I've only just scanned through a little bit of the site and glanced through the FAQs, so I can't claim to have read their entire perspective here. I think the trouble with trans-humanism is that it is...humanism. Their view is one without God in the picture, and they believe that people are essentially good (which the Bible says is not true!)and that with enough work the world can be perfect. That people can earn perfection. If that were true, we wouldn't need God now, would we? It reads: "Transhumanists place a high value on autonomy: the ability and right of individuals to plan and choose their own lives." Ultimately they are in rebellion against God, they don't want anything to do with Him or His will for their lives. That is what makes it wrong. I could go on, but then this will get reeeeally long :P
